Two CORD MP’s engaged in a physical fight on Friday at Kitale Members Club.
Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa accused his Tongareni counterpart and Ford-Kenya Secretary General Eseli Simiyu of plotting with Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula to give direct party nominations to candidates.
“Why are you forcing the party leader to give a direct nomination to governor Patrick Khaemba who has been dining and wining with Jubilee,”
the MP lashed out.
According to a waitress at the club, the heated confrontation turned into a physical fight after Wamalwa threw a blow at Eseli prompting a scene at the club.
It took the intervention of other individuals at the club to separate the two legislators.
Reports have that the two have recently differed on how Ford Kenya party should handle its activities with Eseli supporting Khaemba to retain the Trans Nzoia Governor’s seat which Wamalwa is also eyeing.
