Rumours has it that a prominent Western Kenya MP, who is now the talk of town, has gone broke after he squandered a Sh 40 million loan with his two wives in Dubai.
According to impeccable sources, Lugari MP, Ayub Savula took a loan of Sh 40 million from Kenya Commercial Bank in
December and instead of investing it in his business, he took his two wives to Dubai for a bonding trip.
His newspaper,The Sunday Express is collapsing because employees have gone for months without pay.
“We are barely surviving, the last time we saw our boss was on December 18 when we took a break to usher in the festive season. After that, he left for an overseas trip with his family and since then no word has been forthcoming from him. All we hear is that he is doing badly after that expensive trip”, one journalist at The Sunday Express told our source.
Savula, who used to fly in choppers to and from his rural home in Kakamega at times even embarrassing cabinet ministers and
MPs from the region, is now spending 10 hours on the road because he cannot even afford an air ticket to his rural home.
Word in town is that mheshimiwa is broke. He is trying to sell a piece of plot in Nairobi and he is also trying to contact Deputy President William Ruto who could help him with some few coins to pay some bills one family member said
