Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo was given a second slap by his opponent Ferdinand Waititu just like during the party nominations in April.
On he 8th of August Kiambu people voted and gave Waititu the opportunity to represent them and bring change after Kabogo’s failed politics.
Waititu had a lead of 736,336 votes against Kabogo’s 192,045 votes. After conceding defeat Kabogo revealed that he accepted the ruling and congratulated Baba Yao on his victory.
Speaking to journalists at his home, Kabogo said: “My life has not stopped and I have no regrets whatsoever. Doing campaigns was one thing and running government another. There is a lot to do…the future is bright. You live to fight another battle.”
