We can all relate to what Madam Boss is talking about, the painful truth about not so good experiences with our relatives.
You’ll agree that living with relatives under the same roof, can turn out to be a very depressing affair and one of Kenya’s biggest artistes Akothee aka Esther Akoth is no exception.
According to the singer, relatives can be very hard to deal with but worse, they are never grateful for anything you do for them.
“Yes I don’t live with relatives in my house,” Akothee said. Adding: “Because they are untouchable, unsendable, unkwerable, you can’t correct them my daughter, they are bosses in their own way, I have educated so many people, but none of them ever came back to say thank you, am not going to stop there.”
Akothee is a proud mother of five Kids and the older ones are daughters and as such, her house, although humongous, must be full already and I doubt she’d want to add extra person to her family. Adding an extra soul to that equation would really stretch her. But that’s not what bothers her.
The ‘Baby Daddy’ singer said she was ready to help her kin in any way but from a distance. That she wouldn’t share a roof with any of them.
“I will still offer support but hey for my peace of mind I live alone with my children and my employees , because I don’t want to offend the whole community.” Akothee noted.
“Relatives are very good at ganging up even if you are on the right , so what you do , support them from a distance if you want to have harmony with your people.
