A list of City roads that will be closed during the First Lady Half Marathon scheduled to take place on Sunday 6th March has been released.
- Mombasa road from Enterprise Junction to Lusaka road roundabout.
- Uhuru Highway will be blocked from Nyayo Stadium roundabout to Kenyatta Avenue roundabout.
- Ngong Road will be closed from Haile selassie roundabout, up to City Mortuary through Kenya National Library.
- Lang’ata Road will not be accessible from Gadhi Avenue to Uhuru Highway roundabout. Affecting Upper Hill Road stretching to Park Hill hotel and Lower Hill Road up to Bunyala road through British High Commission Headquarters. The effect will be felt also on Aerodrome road, Cathedral road, Hospital road starting from Ngong road to Hill park, Chyulu, Masaba and Ole Sangale road leading towards Strathmore University.
According to the organizers, the mentioned roads will not be accessible from Saturday midnight until 4pm on Sunday.
The First Lady Margret Kenyatta who is the main host of the Marathon will be in attendance. Ms Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero Campaign, has so far received more than Sh200 Million in donation, funds aimed at helping reduce maternal and child deaths in Kenya as a whole.
