The symbolic collapse of the podium while addressing supporters in Malindi, is a sign of a similar occurrence in April 2008. This is when the table gave way minutes after signing a coalition pact with the disputed winner of the 2007 elections which gave way to the popular ‘nusu mkate’ government with Mwai Kibaki
Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi in an interview on Jeff Koinange Live show signed that Raila Odinga would not win the presidential election come 2017 and the only way he would get into Government was to push for a coalition.
“There is a scheme being executed here systematically. Raila Odinga has discovered that at the age of 72, he has only two choices; to either become President or force a Coalition Government, and forcing a Coalition Government he will,”
According to Ngunyi who is well known with his tyranny of numbers hypothesis, added that once Odinga loses the election he would say that the IEBC’s results were not credible and that he cannot go to the Supreme Court for justice as it can also not be trusted.
Raila has one option and one option only; preside over anointing a new leader to take Kenyans to the Promised Land. He will not set foot on the Promised Land. It is a haunting and chaotic reality that is starting to play out now as we look towards 2017 elections.
