DP Ruto’s estranged billionaire friend pens reconciliation letter To Him After His Best Preferred Candidate Raila Lost The Elections.

Just weeks to the General Election, flambo city lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir left tongues wagging after ditching his friend Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.

Now, just a day after the polls, DBK as he is popularly known, penned an open letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta asking him to implement dreams the National Super Alliance (NASA) chief Raila Odinga had, now that the Opposition presidential race flagbearer is clearly losing the bid.

Kipkorir used to be a close ally of DP Ruto and had been for decades, since the Youth for Kanu ’92 days, and congratulated the incumbent for his ‘win’. He said Raila loss fair and square but asked that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as stipulated in the constitution.

When I decided to vote for Raila, it is not because you and me stopped being friends, but because I truly believed Raila’s vision of Canaan maybe a better alternative. Some friends tell me they have not been employed or promoted because of their tribe. I meet many people everyday who tell me that they have been left out,” he said.

“I voted for Raila because Canaan promises equity and equality for all. In Canaan, the rain will fall on all, and the sun shine on everyone. In Canaan, I looked forward to Martin Luther’s dream that we we will all be judged by the content of our character and not our accidental birth as Kalenjin, Kikuyu, Kamba, Luhya, Mijikenda, Somali or Luo.

In Canaan, one river, River Jordan, serves us all with water of life, justice (restorative and restitution) and redemption. John the Baptist led his Ministry there. Jesus begun his Ministry there,” Kipkorir wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, August 9.

In the open letter to the President, Mr. Kipkorir asked him to remember his campaign promises and to work for the development of everyone, even those who didn’t vote for him and preferred a Raila presidency instead.

We all belong to one Kenya. Let everyone stay inside the tent. As the great Socrates said, magnanimity is the greatness of soul, mind and heart. Be magnanimous in victory. Don’t let Nyanza, Coast and Eastern feel locked out. Don’t let them feel besieged. Let all access justice in our Courts. Let no one be delegitimized. You are our President,” the wealthy lawyer ended his post.
