A Member of Parliament associated with the Jubilee Party has become the talk of social media after he led armed men to attack a village in Tana River county.
Joe Mutambu, the MP for Mwingi Central and his group is said to have fatally shot 120 camels belonging to the Somali community in Boka village near the border with Kitui county.
Photos from the raid have been shared widely on social media and one shows the legislator holding a gun and is in the company of police officers who are said to have assisted him in the killing spree.
The Somali herders are now appealing on the government to take action against the the Wiper party rebel MP and the police officers who had accompanied him during the raid.
They are also demanding for compensation saying they are now homeless because the police officers torched down their huts as well.
The actions of the legislator who is an engineer by profession is the reason for a heated online discussion with Kenyans calling for his arrest.
