Nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura has come out to criticize former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru and warned her that she could lose her battle in the race to the gubernatorial seat in Kirinyaga if she continued launching attacks against Deputy President William Ruto.
Mwaura urged the former CS to carry her own burden instead of tarnishing the names of others in the scandal.
The nominated MP recounted an incident how Waiguru treated him when they shared a lift at the Nation Media Group offices when the she was the CS for devolution.
Mwaura revealed that he was heading for an interview and incidentally found himself with the former CS in a lift at the Nation Centre.
Mwaura claimed that Waiguru kept on staring at him and he could sense that she was uncomfortable.
“One day I was in a lift with her at nation centre and she kept staring at me. I could see the sense of discomfort,” Mwaura said.
According to the legislator, Waiguru’s strange behavior must have been triggered by the fact that she felt that she deserved to be in the lift alone.
“I was later informed at her ministry that she didn’t share a lift with anyone including her colleagues,” Mwaura added.
Mwaura stated that power is fluid and that one should treat people with respect irrespective of the position they hold at any one point.
