National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has delved into the mysterious disappearance of an author of a book that talks about his political journey.
Appearing on Radio Maisha on Tuesday, July 4, Raila said that it is unfortunate that Newton Babior went missing on the very same day that he was supposed to launch the book at the KICC grounds.
The former prime minister said he knew Babior quite well and even gave him a go ahead to launch the book after he read and agreed with everything it contained.
“It is unfortunate that he disappeared on the day he was supposed to launch the book. I had met him and gave me the go ahead to launch the book and I was supposed to attend the launch,” Raila said.
He expressed fears that Babior might not be safe wherever he is but called on police officers and other relevant authorities to conduct thorough, quick investigations on his whereabouts
The book, The Raila Conspiracy, talks extensively about Raila’s political journey and how he has been denied victory in the three times he has taken a shot at the presidency.
According to concerned Kenyans many have said that this is just a planned thing for people to buy the book out of sympathy since Kenya have many authors and none of them have ever disappeared despite what they write.
