Early today Kenyan photojournalist and activist Boniface Mwangi unveiled the Ukweli Party, the party he will be using to vie for the Starehe Parliamentary seat.
However, what caught the attention of citizens was the party’s odd symbol – sugarcane (s) – which was laid on tables at the launch.
Although using foodstuffs as the symbols of parties is not entirely new, Kenyans still took to social media to question why the political outfit had settled on sugarcane of all the things.
It later emerged that Ukweli Party whose slogan is “Power to the people” picked sugarcane as their symbol because their main aim is to fight for a sweeter Kenya.
Still wondering if its creativity taken to another level.
