Just a few moments after addressing several rallies in Kilifi, Raila was admitted to hospital yesterday evening for suspected food poisoning. His running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and other NASA members addressed the nation at Mombasa hospital and assured Kenyans that he was doing okay.
Doctors at the hospital said he was feeling better and responding well to treatment. The team was getting ready to board their flight back to Nairobi after a day campaigning before he was rushed for a check up.
His adviser Salim Lone gave an official statement assuring Kenyans that Raila was out of trouble. “Mr. Odinga feels quite comfortable and is being examined by a doctor at a Mombasa hospital. The doctor feels that their is no cause for alarm. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to worry about Mr. Odingas health” he said.
He was later discharged after doctors established he was just dehydrated.
