Here Is The Reason Why Musando’s Boss was Attacked and Told to Leave the City Mortuary

One of Chris Musando’s bosses was on Monday confronted and told to leave by mourners at the City Mortuary.

According to the standard, the mourners accused James Muhati, the electoral commission’s ICT director, of betraying Musando.

Muhati had arrived at the morgue in the company of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) colleagues to view Musando’s body.

Things, however, took an ugly turn when one mourner tried to attack him but was restrained.

She claimed that Muhati was part of the problems that Musando faced at his workplace.

The daily further reports that three other mourners confronted him as he ran to where IEBC commissioners and other staff were standing.

In May, Muhati was suspended for a month after he was accused of refusing to cooperate in an audit of the agency’s ICT systems. The decision was reached at a plenary meeting chaired by Chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Musando was appointed acting director. Muhati was later reinstated.

At the morgue, emotions overcame a number of Musando’s colleagues who broke down after viewing his body.

Musando’s widow, Eva, was reluctant to leave her husband’s body and had to be persuaded by relatives to leave to allow the attendants to prepare the body to be moved to Lee Funeral Home.
