Koffi Olomide was on Wednesday 27th, July 2016 sentenced for 18 months after police arrested him at his residence in Congo.
The rhumba maestro was secretly released from prison at 10 am today morning. Reliable sources also confirmed that Koffi was released and drove home at his residence.
His Kenyan promoter Jules Nsana confirmed that the rhumba maestro was out and ready to continue with his business.
“All I can say is that I am happy for him. Now he can go on with his work as usual even taking into consideration the losses I made owing to his unruly behavior in Kenya. But at the end of it all we are all prone to making mistakes- and Koffi is no exception”
Rumors had circulated that Koffi had been sentenced unfairly and his enemies had a hand in it. This was the reason why his release was discreet.
