Kiambu Governor William Kabogo moved to court seeking to block Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu from contesting for governor in 2017. Kabogo said Waititu has breached the leadership and Integrity Act and is not suitable to hold a public office.
In his statement, Kabogo said that Waititu is not academically qualified to be a governor and that his credentials are not genuine and valid therefore not eligible to vie for govervorship.
Kabogo wants Waititu’s alleged educational qualifications investigated.
He said “Waititu does not possess any valid university degree and there is no evidence he went through a process of learning, tutoring or examination,”
Kabogo said he studied at Punjab University and was shocked to hear Waititu say he went to the same institution.
