A young girl who warmed hearts after publicly announcing that she had cancer five years ago, returned to the country this week after 5 years from the UK where she had flown to sought treatment.
Rose was initially treated locally and underwent tedious and painful chemotherapy sessions that left her frail. Well wishers all over the country made their contributions when her mother appealed for help.
Four years later, and Ms Nasimiyu jetted back into the country and in her Thursday interview with KTN’s Jeff Koinange, she thanked Kenyans for the donations that made her treatment possible.
Kenyans on social media were however mesmerized by the 14-year-old’s transformation and especially her acquired accent.
During the interview, Jeff Koinange asked her about the accent to which Ms Nasimiyu responded
“People keep telling me I’ve got American accent…but then when I come here they say I’ve got British accent so I don’t know where I am.”
Kenyans could not get enough of her accent and a trail of comments soon followed praising the brave girl
