Viwandani MCA Samuel Nyangwara was kidnapped for the second time in weeks on Tuesday 5th at 4am along Bunyala Road, Nairobi.
Nyangwara who was on his way home from an overnight meeting was accosted by a gang of four.
“We launched a speedy and well-coordinated search after a member of the public alerted us. We trailed them using the MCA’s phone but before we could catch up to them, they fled,” said a police officer privy to the investigations.
The police also said that the MCA was dumped in Capitol hill area, robbed of his mobile phone and Ksh 100,000. Cases of ward representatives have been rife since the office was created.
