An arrest warrant has been issued for a businessman, Michael Njeru, accused of battering his wife and traveling out of the country without the court’s authority.
Mr Michael Njeru is the proprietor of Transcend Media Group.
He has been ordered to surrender his firearm and licence after Ms Wambui expressed fear that he could use it to harm her and their three children. Ms Wambui filed for divorce over claims of assault, cruelty, infidelity and lack of respect in their 21-year marriage.
Wambui is now seeking Sh1,316,710 for maintenance every three months and Sh3,354,500 in school fees for their children. She also wants a Sh10 million insurance cover.
In addition, she wants her husband restrained from accessing their matrimonial home in Lavington, or trying to throw her out.
