A UoN student life was cut short last year after she got sandwiched between MSL bus and another vehicle in Nairobi near Tuskys Beba Beba .
An incidence of the kind have re-emerged where a middle-aged woman was yesterday squashed by two Githurai route matatus.
The woman was crossing the busy Ronald Ngala road when one of the matatu reversed, hitting her against another. The woman laid there unconscious at the scene helpless.
Police arrived at the scene shortly and the victim was rushed to city hospital for treatment. Her condition remained unknown at the time of reporting.
Central OCPD Paul Wanjama confirmed the incident saying,
“I will give you more information after I speak to the officers who are still outside the station manning the roads,”
Matatu drivers are being condemned for such occurrences for not being careful while on the road. They are said to be so hasty to make many round-trips to increase their income and not minding other people safety.
