Nation Media is back in the news again. Well the media house has been sacking journalists and editors for rubbing the government the wrong way. Dennis Galava was the first to be shown the door before Mugumo Munene nd Andrew Teyie followed suit a few weeks later.
Galava sued the giant media house over unlawful dismissal and wants Sh. 250 million compensation, his colleague Teyie has followed suit and sued the media house for Sh.100 million compensation for unlawful dismissal after touching on N.Y.S and Eurobond scandals. Teyie the former Sunday Nation Investigations editor was sacked in what the Nation Media group termed as redundancy.
Teyie is now accusing the media house of unlawfully terminating his services as a writer for digging into the Eurobond and the National Youth Service scandals and not because of redundancy as alleged in his sacking letter.
