News alert: Kenyans can now test their HIV status at home. See the latest progress in health sector

For years now doctors and scientists from all over the world have been having sleepless nights trying to come up with a cure for the deadly HIV virus that causes AIDS.

Years of research and hard work has not yet confirmed a cure but prevention of the virus from affecting a negative person.

The rate of HIV here in Kenya has risen to unimaginable heights with the new err of sponsors and young people indulging in sexual acts.

However now you do not need to go to the Voluntary Counseling and TestingĀ  centres (VCT) to know your status.

The Ministry of health is has introduced a HIV testing kit with Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) pills for those who are negative and at risk of getting the virus.
