Barely after 5 a few days after Uhuru visited Somalia, a total of twenty five cargo planes transporting Miraa to Somalia left Nairobi for Mogadishu.
It is reported that Meru Governor Peter Munya was the sole problem after apparently going to Somali on July this year. It is not clear what he discussed with Somalia officials but details indicate that he was the reason why Somalia gave Kenya the ban.
The Somalia government lifted the ban after a meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Somalia counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud.
The ban was imposed on Thursday, September 8 but no official reasons had been given in the communication from Mogadishu.
