A member of the Kwale County Assembly has been summoned by a children’s court after his ex-wife filed a suit claiming that he had neglected his family since 2015.

“I have consulted my family and they have supported my bid to resign and look for other ways of earning a living because this issue has now become political. I divorced my wife because of mistakes which are known even to her family but surprisingly they have now ganged up in an effort to fight me,” the leader was quoted in the report.
He said that despite asking for the “high amount” of monthly upkeep, his ex-wife’s family was also threatening his life.
“Last Wednesday, three unknown people raided my house at night,” he lamented. The politicians ex-wife denied the accusations leveled against her and her family, saying that Simba was only defending himself to hide the real cause of their separation his infidelity.
“He never used to spend the night at our matrimonial home and always used to return the following day without giving a clear explanation. He is just raising the allegations against my family as a way of defending himself yet it is widely known that he is a womanizer and used to seduce even my own cousin,” she said.
She added that she was willing to revoke the case against the MCA if he accepted to take care of their son and pay her unsettled dowry of sh30,000.
