K24 anchor Anjlee Gadhvi Noorani on Wednesday shared her joy on social media when she celebrated eight months since she underwent surgery to beat liver cancer.
Noorani was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2013, but made the decision to go public about it last year after various treatments options drained funds raised by family and friends
She then sought help from the public help and received a donation of over sh6 million from Kenyans in hours.
On Wednesday, she posted a photo that captured the moment she was being taken for an 18-hour surgery in January this year.
Kenyans on October 16, 2015 raised over sh6 million after the anchor was hosted on Kameme FM’s breakfast show to appeal for well wishers. It was during this interview that she narrated how she had spent sh7 million raised from family and friends since her diagnosis in 2013 and needed sh8 million more for the surgery.
