Did Ghanaian officials confuse our president to be theirs??
As Ghana celebrated Independence Day, the government officials confused Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta to be their own head of state in the official programme. The cataloger outlining events of the day had other embarrassing errors such as spelling mistakes and wrong facts about Ghana’s economic status and location on the world map.
This was Ghana’s 59th Independence Day celebrations held in Accra, and it was such a shame to the Ghanaian officials to misspell some facts.
The leaflet stated that “Ghana is now recognized as having attained low-income status in the world and that ”Ghana is strategically positioned on the equator making her the center of the of the globe. And like the sun, she radiates light to all parts of the world”
On noting these errors, The Information Service Department of Ghana has gone ahead and apologized for these mistakes. The apology was dated 12th January 2016 instead of March 2016 furthering the inefficiencies.
