An easy calm is returning after a slow week since Kenyans went to the polls to elect their leaders in the General Election on Tuesday, August 8.
Last Friday (August 11), the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the hotly contested poll even as the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders continue to cry foul.
Yesterday (August 13), the coalition’s leader, Raila Odinga, held his first rally at the Kamukunji grounds in Kibera where he asked his supporters not to report to their work places on Monday, August 14, 2017.
Raila who lost his fourth bid at presidency, said he will make a major announcement on Tuesday, August 14.
It seems though that Nairobians are itching for things to return to normalcy as many of them thronged their places of work. The traffic jams on our roads are back and so is commotion in the streets.
Kenyans also took to social media to show a force of defiance against the Opposition leader by tweeting using the hashtag #turudikazinichallenge.
