The National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has said he has compelling evidence concerning the just concluded elections, promising to unleash it soon.
Speaking to the Financial Times on Sunday, August 13, Raila who lost to the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta by over 1.4 million votes, that is according to official IEBC numbers, said he would shed some light on what he plans to do following the loss which was his fourth.
The Opposition leader insists that that polls, more so the presidential one, was a total sham, that the whole world was “treated to a charade.”
“We will show the kind of charade the whole world has been treated to.” He told American media house.
During the FT sit-down at his Karen home, the former Prime Minister said he is not going to be a candidate again, that the 2017 General Election was his last.
It will be remembered that on Friday, August 11, the Opposition leaders snubbed the much-awaited announcement of the final results by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), at the Bomas of Kenya, saying Wafula Chebukati and his team had failed to listen to their concerns before declaring who the the winner was.
When pressed why he was collecting proof of irregularities during the Tuesday polls and he was not plan to vie again, Raila said it is about the world getting to know the truth.
“It is not about me. It’s not about Raila Odinga. I’m not going to be a candidate again… we just want Kenyans to know what happened, what the whole world is not understanding is happening.” concluded.
