Nakuru Senatorial aspirant Koigi Wa Wamwere has joined the opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA).
After the nominations many who lost are disappointed saying that the elections were not fair and they are opting to vie again as independent.
But there are others who have conceded defeat, they decided to embrace the fall at the earliest opportunity possible, promising to work with the victors as well as campaign for their preferred presidential candidates.
For some however, losing in the nominations has proved to be too painful and have decided to defect to rival parties.
Among them is Koigi Wamwere who was vying for Nakuru Senator Seat, who now says he will throw his weight behind Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga.
“Most of my ideologies are reflected in Jubilee. I have made this decision owing to the party policy of uniting the country, zero tolerance to tribalism, and the zeal in the fight against corruption,” he said while decamping to Jubilee.
“Before President Moi, there was Kenyatta who was like Moses and was supposed to lead the Israelites to the promised land of Canaan but, unfortunately, he died on the way. Since then, 99% of Kenyans are still languishing in the desert but in Raila, he is a possible Joshua,” explained Koigi.
“Welcoming Koigi wa Wamwere from Nakuru and Kirugi M’Mukindia from Central Imenti to the Nasa team; our movement seeks to establish an inclusive leadership that has space for all Kenyans regardless of color, creed or religion. We respect and value every Kenyan’s contribution towards building our nation,” Raila said when receiving the two on Wednesday May 4.
