Shocking details have emerged regarding the much publicized Okoa Kenya signatures which Cord were collecting.
In an interesting twist, the Okoa Kenya group is allegedly to have gone and bought old Mpesa books from M-pesa agents. According to an M-pesa agent identified as Purity Mwikali, the books were going for Sh. 5,000 adding that she sold 5 books making Sh. 25,000.
Another source said that many agents in Nairobi were making good money adding that many Kenyans did not register yet their names are already in the register, further he urged the IEBC to check the signatures correctly.
On Monday, the Cord officials issued a statement saying that Jubilee is propagating these lies to discredit Cord and portraying that the signatures are fake.
The Cord fraternity added that they will not be surprised if the election body bends towards Jubilee who are saying that the Okoa Kenya initiative did not meet the threshold.
