The country is counting down days to the general elections and anxiety is all over the place.
Few weeks ago NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga asked women to boycott s3x on the election eve so as to have a lot of energy on the August 8th to vote.
Now commercial sex workers in Nakuru Town have announced they will suspend their ‘business’ on August 7 so they can participate in the elections.
The group chaired by their spokesperson Lucia Njeri said that they have discussed the issue and will not be on the streets to provide their regular services to clients until after the elections.
“We have unanimously agreed to suspend our activities on August 7 so that we can vote on August 8. We need development-oriented leaders who can help us get better jobs in future. We will also maintain peace. Those in politics are seeking employment and we should not allow their differences to split us.”
