An Administration Police officer caused drama at the Moi Forces Academy in Lanet on Thursday morning where he was attached to supervise the KCSE examination.
The drunk officer arrived after the exam had already started but unfortunately, Higher Education Principal Secretary Prof Collete Suda had already arrived at the school in an impromptu visit but were unaware of the officer’s state.
Drama unfolded when the highly intoxicated AP officer started interrupting conversations between the senior ministry officers by laughing uncontrollably and engaging in loud phone conversations as the candidates were sitting for their exam.
It was then that Prof Suda sent him home and instructed Bahati Deputy County Commissioner Kisilu Mutua to immediately take the officer’s place.
“The security team ought to be keen on such officers since they are likely to cause unnecessary tension in the centres,” the Education PS complained.
Reports indicate that the officer’s shameful behaviour was reported to his seniors and disciplinary action is expected.
