A senior Administration Police officer paralyzed operations at Murang’a General Hospital after he reportedly stormed the maternity ward brandishing a gun.
Inspector Maxwell Owino, who was excited at the prospect of being a father, turned wild when he got the information that his wife had a still birth.
The officer reacted by threatening to shoot medical workers for negligence which according to him had led to his son’s death.
Mothers at the maternity ward had to wait for hours before being attended to, after the gun totting figure of Owino led the staff to run for their lives.
Workers at the health facility blamed the senior officer in charge at Kigumo Police Station for not responding to the report that an officer had threatened their lives.
