Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and CORD co-principal is never shy to court controversy after reports have emerged of alleged battery by his wife.
Cord co-principal and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula is recovering from multiple injuries after being assaulted by his wife. Police investigations are underway to establish a case filed by Mr Wetangula, who claims to have suffered physical harm during the ordeal at the couple’s house in Karen estate, Nairobi.
“He said he had been accused by his wife Ann of infidelity. That is when, according to him, his wife became furious and attacked him. As a result, he said he sustained injuries on his head, left hand, left leg. He was treated at Karen hospital and issued with a P3 form,” a report by Langata Police states in part.
However, in an interest twist to the saga, Wetangula’s wife Ann, has separately filed an assault case to the Police against her husband.
Mrs Wetang’ula was the first to report to the police on February 21 that her husband beat her on the night of February 18 at around 9 pm.
“Ann Wetang’ula, a resident of Karen came to the station and reported that February 18, 2016 at around 9pm she was assaulted by her husband Hon. Moses Wetangula, Senator for Bungoma County. She complained of having sustained injuries on both hands, chest and legs,” the report states.
Later on the same day, Mr Wetang’ula went to Lang’ata police station and made a similar report.
