President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto were humbled after a incredible show-up of residents from Kisii County during their rally on Thursday.
The residents were lined up by the road side just to see their head of state President Uhuru. The President was taken by surprise having in mind Kisii was once a strong hold for the opposition, however it seems that their love for the president is in abundance.
The president who almost shed tears for the warm reception urged the residents to refuse listening to leaders who mislead them for political motive but instead focus on development politics.
”Let leaders who want Kenyans to fight to send their own children to fight,” the president said.
The Kisii residents who could not help fell remorseful over past encounters apologized to the president while chanting ”Uhuru tena” and assured to support Uhuru in the coming elections, 2017.
The president toured Kenyenya, Ogembo and Mogonga and he was pleased with the reception from his citizens of that part of the country.
