A few years ago, there once was a song that took over Kenya by storm, at a time when artistes were struggling to get airtime for their releases.
The song became a hit not only because of its bouncy beat that drew people to the dance floor in their numbers, but also due to its catchy lyrics that passed a very simple but effective message – that not every lady you buy drinks wants to be chips fungwad.
That was back in 2010, a whole seven years ago and sadly, after Marya released ‘Hey Baby’ later featuring his then boyfriend Colonel Moustapha, her music career took a dip. Her music exploits were overshadowed by drama after the celeb couple broke up.
Kenyans hoped for another Avril-Marya collabo but gave up after years of waiting. Team Chokoza wasn’t meant to be, as Avril broke into acting and Marya went mum, she ditched the country only to return heavily pregnant.
And now here again Avril and Marya seem to be re uniting and this was seen after Avril shared a photo of the two together capture Chokoza team
