In April, 2017 Nairobi residents nominated Mike Sonko as the candidate to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat in August 8th.
Earlier Sonko had threatened to quit the party if he fail and vie as an independent candidate because he believed Nairobi residents want him as their next governor.
Speaking to Nairobians, Sonko promised to deliver a few important matters on his first 100 days if they elect him as their governor.
He was quoted: “In my first 100 days in office, I will abolish permits for mama mboga and hawkers and also reduce land rates. I will make sure all city askaris are sent for fresh training as we hire new ones who instead of harassing business people will be now responsible in identifying problems affecting the residents”
Although Sonko has been backlashed in the past for using the poor to raise his PR, he has helped many people.
His administration has promise to completely change lives unlike this of Kidero. Kenyans will decide in August.
