On 15th March this year four teenagers were caught by the police at night ferrying a dead body of a taxi driver who had been reported missing.
The students were caught along Nakuru-Nyahururu road with a stolen car transporting the body. However, three of the five students were released by police after being held in custody for more than ten days.
The Narok court judge ruled that there was no concrete evidence linking them to the killing of the taxi driver and ordered their release.
Narok chief magistrate Wilbroda Juma said that investigations proved that the three teenagers were not responsible for the murder but the other two suspects were to be held for five more days after the prosecution claimed that they were important in aiding with the ongoing investigations.
