A month ago, Selah Wanjala became the talk of town after bravely hanging on a moving chopper earning him the name ‘James Bond’.
Well, his dreams came true on Monday 25th after the Bungoma man was flown to Nairobi from Kisumu Airport courtesy of Nairobi businessman Joseph Lendrix Waswa, to make his dream come true of boarding a plane.
The businessman was also the man behind his release after he was accused of endangering his life and that of the pilot at a Bungoma court.Mr Wanjala was in the company of his mother and wife when he was treated to a grand reception at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.
They were driven from the airport in a motorcade of posh vehicles comprising of a Mercedes-Benz and a Bentley that drove to Waswa’s Lavington home for a luncheon.
The businessman likened Wanjala to a super-hero whose actions, “could only be seen in movies”.
“I am doing it to award his rare bravery act that is a seldom accomplishment on earth apart from the Hollywood fiction movies,”
Wanjala inspired inspired university students who developed a mobile game app called ‘Bungoma Hangman’.
