Very Rude: Gospel singer Willy Paul walks out of Groove Awards after his name missed on the nomination list

Gospel singer Willy Paul Msafi became the first artist whose song hit more than a million views on YouTube in less than a week.

His song ‘Yes I do’ featuring Jamaican artist Alaine was well received by Kenyans from all parts of the country.

alaine3_1032017However during the recent Groove Awards nomination Willy Paul’s name, Bahati and L-Jay Maasai’s name did not appear on the nomination lists.

Speaking to a source the Groove Awards organizers were said that the nominations did not favor any artist but only selected gospel artists with characters representing God and gospel music.

“THIS YEAR, WE HAVE MADE BOLD STEPS. WE HAVE LEFT PEOPLE INTENTIONALLY WHOSE CHARACTER DOES NOT REPRESENT CHRISTIAN VALUES”

Willy Paul walked out of the event after his name missed in any nominations. The singer has been bragging on social media his success especially for his controversial song ‘Tiga Wana’ which he featured Size 8 and his recent hit song.
