In one of the videos, Kimani Mbugua is seen reprimanding Kenyans, while in another, he demands immediate payment from anyone who owes him money. Just a month ago, Kimani appealed for assistance to locate his phone after an alleged robbery incident while he was live on TikTok. According to his social media posts, Kimani claimed that the robbery took place during his morning walk.

"Guys I was mugged this morning while I was live on Tiktok by a guy with a panga, I was on my morning walk in Jomoko in Thika. I hurt my leg and hand but am doing okay."

He added that he had reported the case to the police.

"I reported the case to Kiandutu police station OB no 05/23/03/24 I am doing okay but I lost my Samsung A34 which you guys bought me, I was producing content with it, Kenya police please help me recover it please."

This wasn't Kimani's initial public appeal for financial assistance. Last year, Kenyans rallied together and contributed over Sh500,000 for the former TV presenter. Kimani had initially requested Sh200,000 from Kenyans to kickstart a business venture as he was facing financial hardships. However, TikToker Nyako played a significant role in surpassing this target by raising more than double the requested amount.
