Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex's return to Instagram, has left British media seething. They accuse her of trying to outshine the royals.

The Duchess of Sussex allegedly returned to social media in 2018 with a new business venture called the American Riviera Orchard after deactivating her personal account.

The page's bio indicates Meghan runs the account, which was launched this year. The photographs on the page feature the new brand's logo, while an Instagram Stories video of Meghan shows her collecting flowers and cooking in a rustic-looking kitchen.

The American Riviera Orchard website and Instagram profile do not provide information on the brand's retail. However, searching the public trademark database revealed information on a brand that matched Meghan's new company.

So why is this Instagram page causing so much outrage from the British media and royals? According to the Mailonline, the timing of Meghan's launch is suspicious as it coincided with the Prince of Wales's speech at the Diana Legacy Awards.

According to royal commentator Angela Levin, a fierce critic of meghan the Duchess of Sussex, she believes that Meghan's actions were nasty and spiteful.

"It turns your stomach here. I think it is disgraceful in so many ways," she said during an appearance at GBnews.

"The late Queen, she didn't want this. She made them promise that they wouldn't use their royal titles to make money, and then what?" she added.

The constant theme from the British press is that the timing of Meghan's new launch was distasteful and aimed to take attention from the royals, which begs the question, how can a woman who they have continuously termed 'irrelevant' and who lives thousands of miles away from Britain can steal the spotlight from their favorite royals?

This new wave of criticisms comes just days after the same media outlets begged social media users to give grace to the Princess of Wales, who is recovering after undergoing abdominal surgery.
