The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has suspended the remittances of 11,310 teachers under the Metropolitan Sacco as of March 31, 2024.

In a letter sent to the Clerk of the Senate, TSC Chief Executive Nancy Macharia noted that 2,401 tutors are still active members of the Sacco.

“The above-captioned matter and the deliberations from the meeting between the Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization and Tourism and the Teachers Service Commission held on 26th March 2024 refers.”
