Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have conducted a raid on the residence of former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani as part of a suspected corruption investigation.
Yatani, who previously held the position of Governor for Marsabit County, is currently in the custody of EACC detectives and is slated to undergo questioning regarding his purported involvement in a multi-billion-shilling corruption scandal.
Ukur is anticipated to appear at the EACC Integrity Centre Police Station this morning.
Meanwhile, also under the scrutiny of the EACC are current Marsabit Governor Mohamud Mohamed Ali and several other high-ranking county officials, who are also suspected of involvement in corruption.
