Githunguri Member of Parliament, Gathoni Wa Wamuchomba, has fulfilled her pledge to her constituency by inaugurating the Mega Kitchen at Ikinu Primary School and revitalizing the Administrative unit. As part of her commitment, Wamuchomba has constructed a new Police Station to replace the old, rundown structure. She promised to overhaul the station during her initial commitment, and she has delivered on her promise, as evidenced by photos she shared on her Facebook page.

The renovated Police Station now boasts modern tiles throughout, new ceilings, roofing, fresh paint, and upgraded window panes. The images of the refurbished station have garnered widespread praise and admiration from thousands of online users.

Gathoni Wa Muchomba, a renowned media personality, entrepreneur, and Member of Parliament, made her mark as one of the pioneering female radio presenters in vernacular stations. Notably, she graced the airwaves of Inooro FM and Kameme FM, hosting various prime-time shows before transitioning into politics.


Born Peninah Gathoni Muchomba, she shared the radio space with other beloved vernacular presenters, including Peninah Muthoni Mbugua, famously known as PM Squared.

In a previous interview, the MP recounted her journey from poverty to prominence, highlighting her early career as a teacher at just 17 years old, where she earned Ksh4,870 a month at one point. Beyond her teaching stint, she delved into diverse ventures, including salon ownership, makeup sales, pig farming, and laundry services.
