A helicopter carrying government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura was forced to make an emergency landing in Gishungo, Kikuyu Constituency, due to bad weather.
Mwaura accompanied Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Idriss Ahmed on a relief visit to Nyando for flood victims.
The continuous countrywide floods have prompted the government to set aside funding for victims, particularly in the most seriously impacted districts.
