Earlier this month, through her attorney Wahome, she requested bail, stating that she wouldn't interfere with the witnesses named in the case.

"That I have been out on bail since December 13th 2022 and at no time has there been any threat to peace, security and my own safety either by the family of the Deceased and or any member of the public," she argued.

Mr Murgor, the accused's lawyer, stated in an earlier interview that after examining all of the evidence in the case, he still does not understand why Maxine, his client, was charged with the murder of her boyfriend but stated that he wasn't going to talk about the case's merits or demerits at this time.

"I have been engaged to lead in the defense of Maxine now that a very surprising charge of murder has been proffered against her. I have reviewed the facts that are in the knowledge of the family and all her friends and from where I stand, I can say with absolute confidence that Maxine is innocent," murgor said.

her parents have maintained that they believe that their daughter is innocent. Ms Wahome's parents, through their new lawyer Phillip Murgor, voiced their concern about how the State reached its choice to charge her with the killing of her boyfriend.

She also informed the court that she lives in Nairobi with her parents and will follow all court orders and attend all court proceedings.

The case will be heard on April 19th of this year.
