A session intended for questioning Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha quickly turned chaotic in the Senate on Wednesday morning. Instead of a structured discussion, senators engaged in verbal attacks across the aisle, creating a tumultuous atmosphere that proved challenging for the Speaker to control.

This occurred after some UDA senators, led by Embu Senator Mundigi, began praising the Health Cabinet Secretary instead of asking hard-hitting questions. This prompted Sifuna to intervene and call them out, urging them to fulfill their oversight role as senators. Sifuna, without mincing his words, told them to stop "Kissing people's behinds" meaning that they should stop praising and worshiping the Health Cabinet Secretary and instead focus on asking questions about the dilapidated state of health in the country.

This situation incensed UDA senators, causing unrest in the Senate and prompting the Speaker to intervene as the chamber descended into chaos. The Speaker demanded that Sifuna retract his unparliamentary remarks directed at the Health Cabinet Secretary.

Despite the Speaker's insistence, Sifuna was hesitant to fully withdraw his statements. Instead, he chose to rephrase his comments with messaging directed at the Health CS.
