National assembly speaker Moses Wetangula has garnered the endorsement of Hon. Kwame Thuku, a prominent figure in Mt. Kenya Kenya region and a member of parliament representing Kinangop, to pursue the presidency.
Hon. Kwame Thuku proposed that it was imperative for the nation to transcend the constraints of tribalism and elect its leaders based on merit, capabilities, and leadership qualities. He asserted that Moses Wetangula was the most qualified candidate to succeed the current president, His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto.
"We'll be here for you once President Ruto finishes his tenure. We have seen your outstanding leadership, and you are now the third-ranked person in our country. I make this claim fearlessly. Who said that the president had to be a Kikuyu at all times? We must speak the truth because we must overcome the antiquated ideas of tribalism. "We are one country, Mr. Speaker, and I want to assure you that you are the leader we want to see," said Kinangop MP Kwame Thuku.
