Police have arrested a 46-year-old man suspected to have stabbed a 45-year-old woman to death, leaving her in a pool of blood in Kilae Sub-Location, Narok County.

The National Police Service (NPS) says the suspect, identified as Patrick Mujitwa, murdered the woman whose body is said to have multiple deep cuts on the head, a deep cut on the right hand at the elbow, a cut on the abdomen, and a deep cut on the right leg.

"Some of the exhibits recovered from the suspect's compound include a pair of gumboots, a slasher and a crowbar, all stained with blood," NPS said in a statement.

The deceased's body has been taken to Lolgorian Level IV Hospital, awaiting autopsy.

Meanwhile, the suspect will remain in police custody pending arraignment.
