Due to graft allegations, Mwangi wa Iria Jane Waigwe Kimani, the wife of the former governor of Murang'a, and her brother Solomon Mutura Kimani have been arrested.

In the Ksh. The two are considered suspects in one hundred forty million Murang'a County corruption cases. 

According to EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi, the two were taken into custody on Wednesday and brought to the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court to be charged.


The two hold directorship positions in Value View Ltd., a company allegedly implicated in the fraudulent scheme.

The other six suspects, including the former governor, are being sought by the EACC because they disregarded the invitation to appear in front of the organization on Wednesday morning.
